About Our Initiative

PRANA is a health education initiative for school children vulnerable to Delhi’s worsening air pollution.

Our mission is to work towards -

  • Equity in respiratory care
  • Prevention through awareness

  • Community-driven health advocacy

Our Founder

My name is Diya Rajgopal. I am a Grade XI student deeply passionate about public health and building awareness in underserved communities. I am the founder of Project Prana, a student-led initiative focused on improving respiratory health awareness and access among students in underserved schools. I have completed certification programs from American Lung Association in lung health and Asthma management, certification from John Hopkins University and have internship experience in leading hospitals.

When I was very young, I experienced the harmful effects of Delhi’s polluted air firsthand. Frequent coughing, difficulty breathing, and constant discomfort became a part of my childhood. As I grew older, I realized that many children, especially those in underserved communities, face the same challenges, often without the resources or knowledge to manage these diseases or to prevent them. This project is my way of turning that experience into action. Through awareness and education, I aim to help children breathe easier and live healthier lives.
